Unless something goes wrong with it, your sewer system is probably not something you give much thought to. A sewer's condition can be determined before a leak or backup occurs. Complete sewer pipe inspection services, including pipeline camera inspection, are available from our company. We're happy to help anyone in Burton, Michigan, and Genesee County.

Inspections are reasonably inexpensive and can be completed quickly. On the other hand, the replacement of a sewer line is usually not covered by insurance because it is the consequence of normal wear and use. Sewage backups are not only expensive but also hazardous because they can lead to flooding and the release of toxic sewer gas. An inspection can often find issues before they become catastrophic. If you ignore signs of wear and tear, such as slow leaks or clogged drains, you may have to replace them before you know it.
The roots of trees are always on the lookout for a healthy water and nutrient supply, so it's no surprise they like to hang out in sewers. Roots can invade small spaces and grow to obstruct pipes and cause long-term harm. If pipes are neglected, they might get damaged and necessitate excavation for repairs. The sewer pipe should be inspected if there are trees or vegetation within a certain distance.
Of course, even brand-new sewer systems can develop leaks and become clogged at some point, but the likelihood of these problems occurring is much lower in newer systems than in older ones. Most older houses likely used cesspools, clay pipes, or tar paper for waste disposal before the advent of modern city sewer systems. As time passes, these antiquated structures deteriorate and eventually fall apart. It's a good idea to have a sewer inspection if you're not sure what kind of sewer system your home has or what condition it's in.

Drain to the toilet was plugged. They snaked it out. When I found that the drain was still plugged after they left, I called them. They had someone come right back out and cleared out the clog. The plumber was very friendly and explained what he did. I would definitely recommend American Sewer Cleaners.
